    New Tires

Since Michelin doesn’t make trailer tires, that leaves us to choose from the “other brands”, Taiwan, China, etc. I think trailer tires should be replaced about every 3 or 4 years especially if any long distance, high speed trailering is done. If tires say max PSI is 50 lbs., then put 45 PSI...

    Bad Spark plugs?

Maybe try running motor with 4 new spark plugs just to eliminate bad plugs as the problem….a cracked center electrode insulator can be hard to see/detect….

    Bad Spark plugs?

You’re probably right about your injectors…may need cleaning….motor trying to run on 3 cylinders or less. Is your fuel clean and fresh? …do you have a fuel/ water separator type filter on your transom?….Do you use a fuel stabilizer like Stabil or similar?

what cleaning agent to use on a 2016 Four Winds H1 90

I like bleach for most surfaces….but I wet the surface first with fresh water before applying a diluted bleach solution with a spray bottle and a brush….then rinse with fresh water very soon after application…like less than a minute. If mildew is still there then re-apply spray bleach solution.

amateurism of a new sailor :)

From 4 to 10 seconds running dry is probably not going to overheat/damage the impeller or melt the pump body, but as mentioned it won’t hurt a thing to drop the lower unit to inspect….and while you’re at it, go ahead and install a new impeller….for about $30, it’s nice to know you’re good to go!….

    Painting tube trailer frame

I use spray white lithium grease on trailer springs, shackles, outboard trim motor pump and motor, etc., etc…..it sets up wherever it’s sprayed in a thin layer, never seems to wash off and does a great job of protecting parts from water/ corrosion…..if you can get the spray grease inside the...

    Best lower unit lube

Probably/maybe so on the synthetic lubricants….but for outboard lower unit gearboxes I’ve never had any problems with the Marine 80-90 Gear Lube in my motors…..possibly the biggest problem with outboard lower unit lubes is water intrusion due to leaking seals….especially salt water….

Overheat / dry run Yamaha 115- Need advice

5 to 7 minutes dry at idle....my guess is that the only damage would be to the water pump, impeller, housing, etc....the cylinder head, etc. probably O.K.....replace pump, etc. and run it to see if there’s any issues...

Yamaha 60 hp 2 cycle outboard.

If engine is set up correctly and running well, then the parts you'll most likely need are water pump parts, spark plugs, etc.....I doubt you'll have much trouble getting parts for that motor anyway....

1997 Yamaha C40 2 stroke tilt unit repair kit.

I’m not familiar with a “tilt repair kit”,,,,it would all depend on what your specific problem is....like the tilt motor, tilt pump, tilt relay, tilt switch, etc..... Maybe just a loose or corroded electrical connection?.....

    Primer bulb

The primer bulb is just a one-way, hand operated pump to prime the fuel system from the tank up to the motor....after motor is started the primer bulb does nothing. The fuel separator/filter is a great addition to your fuel system and will not restrict fuel flow....The Walmart/Atwood unit is...

2009 Yamaha 15hp 2 stroke pull cord problem

Remove, check, lubricate if necessary your pull start mechanism.....they can get sticky with time....as 99yam40 mentioned, removing the plugs and giving it a try would be a good place to start troubleshooting

2019 Suzuki DF90A Does lower gear oil change require new drain screw gaskets?

The book says change them every time, but I haven’t always put new ones on....just used the old ones as long as they look fine....I do have some new ones in my tool box, so maybe every other drain/refill I’ll put new ones....
