    Yam 85 Losing Power.-

all of the yams I have played with , had high temp buzzer and RPM reduction to warn the operator there was a problem. Is this motor remote controlled? not sure if tiller motors have buzzers or lights if there is no gauges. when RPM reduction happens or the buzzer or light indicating a problem...

    Suzuki ignition wiring help..

yes using the proper manual would be a good idea You could use a meter to help figure out where you have power and where it is not

    Adding a Temp gauge

I know copper and aluminum are not what you want to touch each other, since brass contains copper, I am not sure it is a good thing to use

    Flushing 2019 115hp Yamaha 4 stroke

those pesky engineers, they have to change things up just to show they can. at least I was right on some of the older motors

    Flushing 2019 115hp Yamaha 4 stroke

well after looking at that above, I always thought the stats controlled the water flow to the heads for cooling I must have been wrong

4Cyl 2Strk lower cylinder won’t fire. Has spark but low compression.

and why would it only effect just one cylinder. that makes no sense at all

2003 yamaha 50 tlrb 2 stroke starter spins slowly sometimes

Starter relay/solenoid might be a problem. bad/burned contacts inside not making good connection sometimes

4Cyl 2Strk lower cylinder won’t fire. Has spark but low compression.

low oil level in tank on motor is the only part of oil system to set the alarm and RPM reduction. But I do not believe only one cylinder would be affected if it was oil level problem Not sure, but think it does a random spark interruption to limit RPMs

4Cyl 2Strk lower cylinder won’t fire. Has spark but low compression.

also the lower crank seal may be letting air in leaning out the lowest cylinder Not sure how many fuel pumps this thing has, or what crank case they are tied to. but if a pump leaks fuel into a crankcase, that cylinder will be too rich and not fire/burn the fuel properly

2007 Yamaha 200 four stroke what fluid goes in the trim/tilt

Not sure about your motor, but My secvice manual for my C40TLRX calls for ATF Dexiron II

    Tell Tail pressure difference

using both and running the motor would be a good idea. the motor warms up and stat opens to help remove salt from all passages

you still have not said how you are flushing the motors

    2005 90hp Yam no spark.

I though they used one each for #1 and #3 with #2 being created with input of the CPS. Maybe that was some other motor

    2005 90hp Yam no spark.

Looking at part breakdowns the 2 stroke 90 used a crank sensor since 92. from what I remember seeing they used 2 pulser coils and one crank sensor to tell the CDI when to spark the plugs. My 99 C40 uses 3 pulser coils to do that they do not show separate lighting and charge coils on the 90...

    2005 90hp Yam no spark.

I have no manual for a 90. Seems that sight sells CDI electronic aftermarket parts, but do not list any newer for the 90 along with the troubleshooting guide from CDI I guess they used different names for parts back in the old days now a days they use names like the CDI, lighting coils...

High Voltage Yamaha two stroke 75 HP 2015 model

I would think 17.5 vdc would not be good on a battery over a long period, I am sure that is why Boscoe asked about what kind of battery that 70 amp battery is. I also have no heard of a 70 amp battery before. What are you measuring that voltage with and exactly where are you taking the measurement?

Suzuki DF 150: which thermostat, 122 or 160 deg F?

High Voltage Yamaha two stroke 75 HP 2015 model

the reason Boscoe says check grounds is the motors generating system makes more power/voltage than needed, the RR should shed the excess voltage to ground to limit what is sent out of the RR. I was wondering why he posted the same thing twice, but see he added a sentence on the end of the...

    2005 90hp Yam no spark.

I would think that this did not come out of a Yamaha service manual. Where did you find this? some kind of aftermarket thing maybe CDI electronics use to have troubleshooting info online for a lot of different brands of motors and they made aftermarket CDIs for them also
