preserve an used electric fuel pump for storage?

Yes IMO Pumps lay on the storage shelves for years and are good. Only issue giving it many years of time would be rubber breaking down. Or if stored in humid area, rust

    Seadoo jet boat stalling

Not the fuel pump so much as the fuel lines might be collapsing internally. They may also be flaking pieces off. With it sitting so long it might have issues with gumming up from the old gas sitting so long. Don't know the serial number so unable to look up the parts. Check the fuel pressure

    Seadoo jet boat stalling

Don't know enough bout the motor, but I would suggest taking the fuel system apart and clean it. Many of the old watercraft had issues with the fuel lines and they needed the lines replaced

preserve an used electric fuel pump for storage?

The fuel pump shouldn't have any fuel stay in it, it should all drain or evaporate out. They can get gummed up by old fuel staying in it in the lines connected to it

    4.3 MPI Possible ECM issues

Having a 555 ECM means there is no paper clip option If it won't build pressure I would look at the fuel pressure regulator, item 13 https://www.mercruiserparts.com/bam/subassembly/31504/12839/60 Check fuel pressure at the rail, should read 43 psi. If fuel pressure is real low then it won't...

1993 Volvo penta 431 no power from alternator to fuel pump

The purple wire is what keeps the motor running. Check for 12V at the ALT to see if its powered up. Then check the Green wire which goes back to the FP relay. Note there should be 12V on the purple wire when the key is turned ON, and doesn't matter if motor is running or not

    Volvo Penta D4 300 problem

That's why I mentioned check wiring and connections on the port side. You have replaced throttle and no change. Then swapped the EVC and it worked on the STRB side but not on PORT. Wouldn't be the first time and wire broke connection inside the connector. That said, what I'm talking about is...

1993 Volvo penta 431 no power from alternator to fuel pump

OK, Being a carb I'm wondering if its similar to the GL I have diagrams for the GL and they use 2 diodes (Start and Run). This diodes should be found at or near the fuel pump relay Having the 2 diodes would not explain the "no light up" because this would come from the ignition key. As...

    Volvo Penta D4 300 problem

Don't know enough about the system @muc would. Since everything works on STRB but not PORT, then I would look for a bad or broken connection. Something isn't able to send of receive signal and/or power

    Adding 100+hp. Would you re-prop ?

Agree with others to test first, but also agree "IF" your Tach is accurate your going to need more pitch or lower ratio. Being at 26 pitch, I'm thinking the ratio was changed from original since you were getting 4800-5000 at 48 mph. When back together get a hand held Tach to verify. Most are...
