    The solenoid Kenny is talking about is part of the starter. That's the slave solenoid which is what I was talking about. The yellow/red wire on the bottom of it is wire I mentioned Do you have a distributor with points or electronic?

    Note: If you have points distributor and not TB4 (TB4 came out in 1982) With points there is a wire coming from the starter solenoid to the + side of the coil. This wire powers the coil when the motor is cranking. If you have points then check this connection

    Have 2 problems but fixing this one will probably fix the other. Being a 1987 it would have TB-IV ignition. First thought would be the ignition switch. Put a voltmeter on the + side of the coil. Disconnect the small Yellow/Red wire from the slave solenoid so the starter won't crank. This...

    No fuel, that's the problem Pump gets powered from the yellow/red wire when cranking, and the purple once started. Check for power when cranking. If not present trace back to starter relay and oil pressure switch

    Looks correct 1-3-4-2 Disconnect the plug on the right and see if it fires. If it does then its the shift interruptor If it still doesn't start with the basics. 12V at the coil Check the Dist

    Don't know about the "push pin" but if the hole is a different size then use the old, it will work fine

    I bought one with the quick fittings but din't use them because I didn't want to buy them for the lines coming from the PS pump. Just removed and installed direct with cheap brass fittings
