    I wanted to share the oil drain I had mentioned long ago. It's draining slow because it's cold but even so I can have a couple of beers in the meantime., I also decided that along with the valve I will just install a plug on the valve then no worries.

    I did some research and have come to find out that the place still advertises these carbs as marine but they are actually an automotive carburetor. You live and learn but I have many spare parts now 😊

    I installed the original carb with every new part possible and hopefully will test it very soon. I took the rebuilt one that I purchased apart and it's totally different internally so I'm hopeful for positive results. I was totally green when I purchased it and I hope others don't fall for it...

    What a beautiful day, long time in coming! All mechanicals and wiring are finished, still need to go over the trailer but should be minor compared to everything else 😆. I may or may not start the templates today, just satisfying to be at this point.

    You must remember that the possible rotted wood is the spine (structure) of your boat, if compromised your boat and yourself may get very wet. The PO owner of mine did a re-deck and I found many stress cracks I had to repair so if he kept running it it probably would have turned ugly.
