Merc 350 bolt v 2 barrel carb fluctuating RPMS

Is it a thunder bolt 5 ignition? also, is it a crab cap. I've had plenty of problems with those out of the box. They suck.

Engine, Carb or Prop? need suggestions or ideas please.

Just to confirm. This reman engine has a q-jet on it. Is it a vortec (8 bolt) head/intake or the old style. I don't believe merc ran the q-jet with the better heads is why I ask. Then there are a few different cams that could be in there. Even though its by the book, there's no saying what you...

Timing looks good. Agree they're a little lean.

Do the plugs seem to indicate its running lean?

Do waverunners have low oil pressure shutoff system?

I feel like an alarm would've accompanied it if that were the case as well.

    My 84 4winns horizon 195 project.

Wheeled out the hull and deck. Burned through on the deck in a few places. (Knew it was getting thin, just made the small spots ever so slightly larger) I've avoided wheeling it as just a light wax was enough to remove the minor surface oxidation I get but between the engine swap in 23, the...

    The Hull Truth present form.

I get the hate for bayliner. Seen first hand the ones that gave them that reputation and they very much were as bad as all the stories say... but it was realistically only a couple year window and that they are a budget minded option but you still get a hell of a bang for the buck with them. I...

    The Hull Truth present form.

They also have a hard on for grady white for whatever reason. I've run a bunch of them. They're good boats but also not some god tier be all end all like they make them out to be. I was over there years back when we first got the 330 and it was like a cult, I agree. Didn't need that BS in my life.

    Oil selection

The problem is way deeper than zinc. It was always a chemistry issue and a parts issue. There are millions of flat tappets out on the road right now running whatever the current blend of oil is for their spec and are all fine. Without starting a pissing match or anything else I'm leaving it at...

    Oil selection

I've never had an oil analysis come back better using an oil other than what the engine was designed to run on. Just saying.

    Fuel Tank incorrectly labelled?

I just realized its labeled as a fuel thank not tank. And here I was talking about something completely different. Kidding aside, that looks about normal for draw down. If you get in 22 gallons to fill or so with what's in there I'd say thats correct. My tank I had built is 39 gallons...

It is a major boating holiday.

I've had to push through ice in the salt to pull the waverunner before. Wisconsin would for sure move that date up a couple weeks.

    Tahoe Q4 movement during transport

When you say you checked the bunks... are they centered to the trailer and bow stop? I've seen on more than one occasion the stop not be square to the trailer and or the winch stand be twisted... (power loading usually and being too deep and hitting it hard). The perspective on your photo makes...

    Fuel Tank incorrectly labelled?

It is possible the pickup has been cut short. Are you running out of fuel like engine won't run then refilling or something else? Under that condition you could pull the level sender and see how much fuel is in the tank when "empty". I suppose it also is possible that you aren't able to fill all...

It is a major boating holiday.

Oh and got a call for a house fire from an E-Bike this morning on my way in too. Agree. Glad the **** show is over and the trouble makers back in their cities. Bring on the best 3 months of boating.

    Pizza is ready !

I can't do pineapple on most pizza. I get the concept but reality is the contrast isn't really that tasty to me. Yes I've tried it. It worked better on a neapolitan. Crisp top edges and just a few chunks with hand crushed tomatoes and pulled cheese. That worked.

    Pizza is ready !

I have celliacs in the family. The cauliflower was an order of magnitude better than the gluten free varieties. My rule is if I don't think its good I won't make it for someone else. It was surprisingly good but I was also going for a cracker style thin crust.

    Pizza is ready !

A cauliflower crust if you have issues with bread works as a fine substitute. Ends up coming out like the mini school pizzas and its light on the body.
