    They can be used for thru hull fixtures like a seacock assembly or simply used to mount other things like bilge pumps, water pump. They are encapsulated pcs. of wood. Typically cause you don't want to drill into the hull.

    Been there done that Sam. Its all a learning curve. Besides real men don't read instructions anyway. LOL! I wouldn't think you could varnish over an epoxy because its sealed anyway by the epoxy. So am I wrong on that concept?
