    Put it back together with new gaskets, sync and link by the book except make it idle with timing and roller loose from cam. Then set a 1/8 gap between roller and cam and test.

    All I am asking is when you make a statement where did you get this information? No manufactures manual that I own or have digitally say to re-prop after break-in. That like me stating that all manufactures recommend the use of Walmart oil. If you state something have data to back it up.

    If its spitting fuel out the idle jet it is highly likely it has scuffed exhaust side of piston due to bridged port.. and compression will be fine

    Check the signal input as rectifier could be dropping out. Should have a steady AC voltage that climbs with RPM

    It is a prop rated 115.....not the best choice for a 23ft boat. A 150 or 175HP would be best choice

    The timer base has a groove in it like the crankcase sealing rings. You lube the groove in timer base, install plastic ring on timer, snap into recess in head,install clamps and make sure its free to rotate

    Did you install the plastine washer under the inlet needles? If so this will throw off float setting a tad..not used on plastic 60° engines
