    Nobody fishing?

yep , catching your own is the best way but the down side , for me any way , is that when you are reduced to having to buy fish nothing seems fresh . I was complaining at the girl ( she's only about 40 ) at the fish shop and she tells me that "fresh " can be 5 days old . This came about...

    M9540 24 speed parking brake

Yeah it seems wrong from a "dont mis-treat your tractor " point of view , but after a bit of thought I cant really think why not . I guess there are times when its ok to use something for a purpose it wasnt intended for ( like battery drills on your fishing reel ) with reasonable success

    Gear case oils

Time has come to fill my reconned gear case with oil . I have long used synthetic gear oils in my bikes and cars , and used ATF in my racebike gearboxes . I like the thin oil , convinced that it soaks up less power. Have any of you used synthetic gear oil in your outboards ? opinions ?

    2 Stroke Oil Thread

There are other differences other than the bushes / bearings , also there are pistons with g oil retention grooves in the thrust faces and some without . I would have thought that the thrust faces / bore area would be the hardest to lube , so there are different requirements there ?. I had a...

    Transom saver or no?

Yeah it sure did :) . In the end the tie down about 1.5m from the back clamped the boat down but the bow lifted a bit over rough ground ( we winched the 4wd towing the boat out of some locations ) as the trailer flexed so I used the chain as a fail safe and just held it on the trailer with...
