    Yes is an issue with the tube. what I have done is unroll the mat and anchor it where we are hanging out. Then pull the tube out. Requires a good 12 v inflator but worth the effort.

    Pull the drive to see if the engine turns before buying it. Drive is easy to do but if engine is locked up turns more costly. Did yiu check for stringer transom and floor rot?

    Do Some research on automotive finishes in many cases it is recommended to put filler over an epoxy or etching primer to prevent metal corrosion. Good primers like this are not weaker. As with everything using the correct materials and prep is key.

    there is nothing to maintain on the sealed bearing - only to make sure water stays out . If it is not smooth then replace it

    yes Quicksilver is OEM and the bearing will be sealed. Should have come with a pipe plug to replace the grease nipple in the transom housing Quicksilver is same parts as Mercury/Mercruiser , just different branding so they can sell them outside of their dealer network.
