    64 Johnson 9.5 “Turtle Motor”

try to measure resistance from plug boots to engine body ... should see 4-8 KOhms solid did you take time to install new stranded solid wire (no carbon resistive stuff !!!) did you test the new coils for continuity on both primary to primary ) (0-1ohm) and primary to HV pin out (4-8Kohms)...

2000 evinrude 15hp 4 stroke Run 15 min go in limp mode

have you tried insulating the PP from the engine itself to keep heat away. a few fiber washers to create a space between parts may allow enough heat "prevention" ( I do not know if it can be done or work mind you it all depends if the heat is internal or external to the PP

J6rcrm will shutdown after running for a short time

Smaller boats have a tendency to raise the bow (front) due to the weight on the backend + motor etc.. so tuck in the motor. If the bow is high and you can't see where you are heading you will know ! small prop nicks can be filed away ... at trolling/fishing speeds it wont matter much ...

If you live in freezing temp winters, DRAIN it in the fall Bag the plugs and tie them to the tiller.. RR.... I think the best pratice is to REFILL for winter storage. no water will get in anyway, any water drops stuck inside and humidity will not reach exposed surfaces.

1966 Johnson 6hp magneto timing issues
