    Steering Wheel for Tiller Boat?

I remember my uncle skiing behind his homemade 16 ft boat with a 1955 Evinrude 25hp. I recall the Skies being much larger than the ones I used, when I learned to ski Edit: I wonder if I have any pictures of that Combo

    Steering Wheel for Tiller Boat?

Wooden boats are the only boats that can Float. But I will take a Glass Boat over a Wooden one every time. As for power, I learned to Waterski behind a 14 ft glass, with a 40hp Johnson. Even was able to a Deep Water Start on one Ski behind it, 3 times. The goofy Ventilation Plate Breakers were...

    Steering Wheel for Tiller Boat?

One of ours had a 79 25hp, the other had an 80 35hp. Same displacement for both engines, and about 2 mph difference. No goofy Doel-Fin on either

    Steering Wheel for Tiller Boat?

40+ years ago, we had a couple of the 14ft Deep Fisherman. They would often Porpoise when there was only one person on the boat. Moving the tanks as far forward, and keeping the anchor and other ballast to the Bow reduced it.

    small hole on reed plate?

Close to 50 yrs ago, I stripped the Spark Plug hole on my dad's 40hp Johnson. He took the Head off and had an insert put in. Putting the Head back on, he liberally coated the Head Gasket with Permatex 2. That year, we had the Over Heat lamp come on many times. Lots of Water was coming out the...

    1975 Johnson Stinger

Yeah the 15" models used a smaller Case than the 20"ers. At 1.5 hp/cubic inch, the 75 was really pushing the limits when it came to an Outboard that could be used for all around boating. Mercury's I6 150hp was the same, great top end, but a bit mushy at the lower rpms. As mentioned above, fine...

Just thought I'd share a nice photo.

That happened in Mar 1998. I rolled it in Northern Alberta, north northeast of Slave Lake. I took the pictures, it was still running in the one shot. It was now facing the opposite direction I had been travelling. Another vehicle was about a minute behind me, and had stopped before I had even...

I forgot to comment on that part Material will certainly affect Performance. Bronze, Steel, Stainless Steel, permit thinner Blades, which are more efficient than those made of Aluminium. They also enable the Prop Engineers to design Blade Geometry that is also better. There is a Price, and not...

    1967 Evinrude Speed Twin 9.5

That motor was never intended to be Hopped Up. As Racer said the Later Reed Plate might give you a bit more. If it gave more than 2/10mph more, I would be surprised.

    At a loss

Take a look around the Linkages, are there any spots where any Wires that part of the Ignition are in contact with the Shift or Throttle Linkages? That also goes for the Control unit at the Helm.

You are likely correct, I was thinking of the OMC 25hp for some reason.
