    There is no EXHAUST anywhere near the fitting where you plug in the fuel connecter.----The motor pumps PRESSURE into the fuel tank.---Study how this simple system works.----Fixing it will then be easier !

    ----Midsection is a 1986 model.----Powerhead is not an 86 model more like a 77 model.----Likely swap was made for power trim parts.

    Compression in the cylinder is OK.-----But that has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with compression in the crankcase.----You can have a hole in the crankcase and ZERO compression in there.----Compression in the cylinder will still be fine

    Each piston has it's own crankcase( crankcase compression ) below the piston.----Each piston operates with it's own cylinder above the piston.( cylinder compression )

    Nope.-------The tank needs to build up PRESSURE in order for fuel to flow to the motor.-----Any pictures of tank and hoses coming off the motor.-----Is there a hose coming off the intake manifold that supplies crankcase PRESSURE to the tank ?

    Open the low speed mixture screws 1/8th turn at a time and test acceleration.-----Open another 1/8th turn as needed.----Likely the bogging / stumbling will disappear.
