    Is the OMC 435918 Filter Superseded?

    Was looking under Sierra and Mallory for an aftermarket replacement but I've had no luck. Does anybody know if the OMC 435918 inline fuel filter was superseded. I can find 5/16" and 3/8" inline filters but no 5/16" in with 3/8" out.

    Grease Fittings

    Are the grease fittings made of stainless steel or are they just like on an automobile? Have a 1996 90hp V4 and one of the grease fittings I can't get any grease through.

    Ethanol Safe Hoses?

    Is there such a thing? I?ve been reading around and noticed some people saying to change out the hoses for ethanol safe hoses. These people stated that the ethanol mix eats away at the hose and they found black goo in their carbs. Could it be that their hoses where just old?

    Are the carbs on an outboard really that simple?

    I was looking at exploded views of the carbs for my 1996 90hp Johnson V4 crossflow and they looked very simple. Only other carbs I?ve rebuilt were Holleys and Ford Carbs for cars.
