Mercury 9.9 propshaft removal from bearing carrier

It does not surprise me at all that shaft looks like that. The 9.9 Mercury does not have the most robust lower unit, Frail and easy to damage. McCulloch never made a 9.9.

1958 SCOTT 60 HP FUEL PUMP

Those were never sold with the electric fuel pump. They were shown having as having one, I believe that was a typo because that was the same time McCulloch bought them. I think Scott may have wanted an electric fuel pump but McCulloch changed that. I have an early 58 that actually say...

    Reliability of 1998 25hp EH

E-mail US chrome with questions. I use them for Re chroming the earlier 25 blocks they do excellent work. There site says nothing about Mercosil but I would still ask.

    Reliability of 1998 25hp EH

Find a new machine shop. It can absolutely be honed and no way should it be 300 a hole. I am in Wi and it is around a 100-150 a hole.

    Reliability of 1998 25hp EH

Why do you need new rods? Maybe Racerone knows a machine shop because Mercosil needs special tools. $500 for the rebuild kit $300 for boring that includes both holes and shipping. Reeds another 100 and rods you should not need to replace unless they are damaged. These are all estimates in US...

1990 Evinrude 60 Rough Idle and Bogging

If you have a standard fuel pump you need to get rid if the pulse limiter and screw a nipple in there.

    Reliability of 1998 25hp EH

Rebuild what you have yourself. That is a Mercosil block so it can be bored and the rebuild kits are available for it.

    Tiller handle won't shift gears

Did the jam nuts come loose? Did the cable jump? Access plate on the side of the tiller have you removed that? Is the linkage behind the carb connected correctly? Lots of plastic bits there. There is a kit to convert that to a side shift motor.

1990 Evinrude 60 Rough Idle and Bogging

What happens when you pump the ball on the fuel line? Is the VRO bypassed or removed completely? Did you try going more on the low speed screws? My 70 likes 4.25 turns out.
