Windy is pretty good. You can choose from different forecast models. The forecasts are hit or miss in my neck of the woods though, we get pretty severe and frequent shifts. Overall nice app though, I always check it before going out
I mean, it really doesn't matter, does it? Change the oil, roll the dice, see what happens. Better odds with better storage, but no guarantees regardless.
No, you have another issue. Oil residue isn't enough to keep the engine from turning over. If it isn't turning over at all, I would check to make sure that your valves are moving in that low compression cylinder. Otherwise, start with cleaning your connections and load testing your battery
Spin it with the plugs out, any oil will be expelled through the plug holes. Although if it's turning over, any oil will go out the exhaust anyway. I'd run it for a while and recheck the compression.
Being able to turn it, and having your pitted bearing surfaces hold up at 4k rpms while under load are 2 different things. I've had good luck with used units aside from having to replace seals, and I really like having a spare on hand so that I can repair a leak or u joints on my own time.
Never really understood the hour meter. 100 hours at idle isn't the same as 100 hours of watersports. Same thing with mileage in cars... I'll take 100k highway over 20k city (or my wife driving) any day.
