    Cleaning O2 sensor

Always include the year, model and serial# when referring to specific repairs?? There's a "sensor" (like an EGR valve)on some Yams that gets really carboned up and needs a good cleaning, yet it's not on all Yams. After cleaning the motor runs a lot better.

    2008 25hp Suzuki

FOUND THE PROBLEM I, opened it up. At the base of the intake manual on each branch( V-twin) is a gasket. The port side(the problem side) 35-40% of that gasket was missing. Allowing huge amounts of oil to feed right into the intake. I have a factory service manual on the way. Not sure it will...

    gaskets and seals - 1973 70hp

No other seals. Not sure about the area your talking about, add a pic of the area where you think the sealer should go. Sealer or grease goes on the o-ring I said on not under, under can make the o-ring lift up.

I believe 8g wire and yup peel the end back, fold it over and shove it in the end. You might have to cut back a few pieces of the wire so it fits??

    T&T leakdown tests

Use Loctite if possible. Anti seize becomes perma seize if there's a possibility of it seeing salt water. Back in 86 when I started working at the dealer. I rigged new boats for delivery. We rigged over 200 a year and almost 90% of the outboards we sent out had anti seize on the steering...

    T&T leakdown tests

The old would have been good. The torques used in outboards is usually minimal and the screws haven't been streched or twisted. The only time I buy new is when the heads are rusted off.

I don't know the kind of tester you have?? Buy/ borrow a good one. But as long as all 3 are within 5# of each other you should be OK! Your results should be between 145-160# Harbor Freight tools are seriously lacking in results :( Was selling a 2002 Mercury 225 EFI The customer wanted a...

    91 Force 40 runs rough

They didn't make a 40hp in 91?? They were made in 92 Then 95-99 If it made a difference when sprayed under the pack/coils?? Then the port cover gaskets are probably bad. One little cough, backfire or stutter can blow the gasket :( I'd pull the covers and check the gaskets. I doubt you need to...

1984 Force 85HP starter will not operate - all wiring appears to be correct

Yes both points are the starter ground. Under the starter against the block is a ground lug that the battery cable is attached to. Check the ground and check the battery cable itself? Open up the starter and check for broken pieces?? The battery attachment point can break and cause the problem.
