Is this normal for water to come out these 2 holes?

Exhaust vents out the prop unless it has to much back pressure and then it vents out the holes. Can't tell your water level is but make sure it's up far enough....(above the pump aways)

Yamaha 225hp ox66 tilt and trim help

Not sure what 99 is saying because you made no reference to the relay clicking. Here is where some Yamahas hide the fuse. Port side front in a box.

Yamaha 225hp ox66 tilt and trim help

Did some more digging and it is fused. The red wire going to your relay should be hot without the switch being used so if it's not you have no power for some reasons. Still betting fuse. Here is a way to test you relay next time.

Yamaha 225hp ox66 tilt and trim help

Okay, not sure how to splice in but I think I have an idea. Normal things to think of are bad ground, electric motor or fuse. Because you made it run my bet you have a bad fuse somewhere. They love to hide those things so search all around the motor for some kind of fuse holder.

1986 4 hp Evinrude poor idle

1st of all, I had a First of all I had a 4hp Deluxe and it had much higher compression than yours. It was used so I can't speak about what it had when new. I have also ran compression checks on many small motors that were much higher than you say. Not sure piston size means anything. Most...

    Suzuki DF115 transom (Trim/Tilt) saver??

Never said it was. The conversation started out that his new 2022 Suzuki didn't have anything for trailering. Then the conversation went from there. Re-read the thing and then it will make sense.

    8MLHU limited RPM

Agree with above. And if your using it in a test tank and trying to go WOT then that's not good. You would need a dyno.

Are there only 2 grease ports on my outboard

There should be two on the transom bracket to tilt tube. (Might be what your calling steering rod) Then there should be one on the side that greases where the motor swivels whole steering. Grease comes out the top and bottom of the midway section of the engine.

    Suzuki DF115 transom (Trim/Tilt) saver??

My motor has two different things. One is a single cam for working on or to be used when mooring and a heavy duty double arm thing to be used for trailering.

    Reverse gear

Seems to be an epidemic of motors not being able to go into reverse. If you remove the shift rod can you shift it into reverse manually?

    termostat/cooling at Johnson 90hp 1986

Pee stream or tell tail is independent of the cooling channels and just shows your pump is working. Thermos allow water into the cooling channels to cool the engine after it starts to warm up. If channels are blocked no cooling will happen. Someone tried fixing it and gave up or something.

1990 48 HP SPL ,No reverse

The adjustment is back at the motor. You have two cables, one is for throttle and one is for shifting. It might not be adjusted so that it doesn't go back far enough to make it go in reverse. You can remove it, shift it by hand, see if it works and then adjust the cable to it's proper location.
