    Yes step by step......Look in the rear and see if throttle cable is still there and just rolled up an was disconnected when hot foot was added. PIA to remove it just to add a foot..

    Check to see if both cylinders have spark when it boggs...could be a pack failing and revving it up makes missing cylinder kick back in...

    If you have spark on some cylinders the stator is working.....it cannot make individual cylinders loose spark as all it does is charge a internal capacitor. Trigger of failed internal rectifier in switchbox will cause individual cylinders not to spark.
