There is nothing that I know of that can be done to fix a wore out motor through spraying or pouring. Only way to fix a worn out motor is buy another or fix the one you have.
You could pull the head and have it rebuilt, normally isn't expensive. A couple 100 which would include valve job and...
Welcome
Need a pic so we might be able to figure out how to get the fuse out
Don't know if the fuse is what's causing the issue but being a red wire it is a good chance that is at least part of the problem
I understand your looking for like a mechanic in a can, and I don't see it helping.
It's sprayed down throat of carb when motor is running at high rpm. Need to boat in the water because garden hose may not supply enough to keep impeller safe from being damaged
Rev motor up and start spraying...
To use Pertronix you have to not use the original resistance wire feeding the coil. Disconnect it and tape the end so it doesn't ground out
Fine wire feeding the electric choke and tap of that with a new wire to coil +. This should give you full 12V
ok, were all good. I'm thinking of the way the cable moves and really doesn't matter. You removed and installed drive as per the manual. The Rev was the one that gave me concern
The cable should be able to be moved in/out by hand by push/pull the lower shift cable with motor running. This...
Thanks
Problem has to be in the shift cable install or it's routing.
To install with throttle in reverse should be very difficult. REV requires the cable to be retracted closer to the bell housing. Having it that close it would be extremely difficult if not impossible. REV requires the cable...
I'm unclear about what is happening here
Question: With drive installed, lower shift cable disconnected from shift plate and motor running. Can you by hand move the lower shift cable in/out and change gears?
That's a bummer, hope they will exchange
The CAN connector is the other that one I was thinking of which another poster posted here prior. I'll try to put this in my notes for when it shows up again
You should have codes with no TPS sweep. Not liking what your dealer is saying. Most the sensors run off a 5V reference voltage. Checking the TPS is easy enough with a ohm meter
