That's probably it Place a meter on one side of the Red/Purple or Red/Black of the 50 amp breaker. The other side of the breaker will come from the starter post and should be solid Red. Trying to find out maybe the breaker is trip/resting. It shouldn't but might be

    Flywheel bolts came apart

Starting in 1989 Merc went from a coupler bolted to crankshaft with studs to the triangle which bolts to the outer flywheel. In link you will find both and parts listed. If yours was held in with bolts and not studs, then this would also cause an issue...

Engine stopped running, says fault in power

ok, but still need to scan the motor for codes. A scanner is needed to find out why the motor will not start. If you hve something like Axis (still have not said which motor) and low voltage the motor will not start because the ECM doesn't know the location of the drive is

Reminds me of a auto rest breaker. The ones which trip when heat builds then reconnect when they cool down. If it has one then it could be its tripping at a lower amp rating. Find the fuse/breaker on the Red/Purple wire going to the key switch. See if its a regular type or a auto rest

    Neutral safety switch

Boat still doesn't matter, need to know the motor so we can try and look up the control. Knowing what control (who made, type) gives us a better idea of where to look. If it was a Yam, or Suz I wouldn't know where to look. If it was posted in the Merc OB section, that would help Not knowing...

Volvo 5.0 gxi Stalls at idle. Hard start.

Scanner is not used to adjust the TPS, it either is or is not at the correct voltage. Idle about 0.5V and WOT about 4.5V When TPS is unplugged the voltage goes higher, and being higher this tells the ECM increase the fuel. Something is off but don't know what it is. With a scanner connected...
