    Either a fuel pump problem or power is not staying connected to fuel pump. When oil pressure switch is bypassed will the pump run and continue to run with the key ON and motor not running?

    Search Mercruiser throttle control, any will work. Most new ones have the trailer button as part of the control. Its no biggy if it doesn't, just install a toggle or rocker momentary switch elsewhere to work

    Unable to say but there should be a steady stream. A 90 gal per hour pump will pump about a gallon a minute

    Sounds like its running out of gas. Have to crank a bit to get more gas back in the carb. Disconnect fuel line from carb and put in a container to catch fuel. Might use a piece of hose so it can be put further away from the motor. Crank the motor to see how well fuel is pumped. If good, by...

    How many wires are on the - side? It might have 2 Gray wires and one goes direct to the Tach. Pic of your motor

    Disconnect gray wire off - side of coil, it goes to the Tach. If that fixes then its the Tach Put a meter on the + side of coil and see if your loosing 12V

    Out of the distributor will vary while the motor is running because there is a make/break going on at RPM from the sensor. May show up as 9V or other

    In is FWD and out is REV Sounding more like something with the lever is binding. Is the linkage arm bent in any way? Maybe put the upper back together, leave lower off. Insure timing marks on gears is aligned before installing drive shaft gear. Don't need to tighten full torque on the castle...

    Should be 12V or more at the + side of the coil (purple wire)

    Maybe Not all changes happen at the same time. I was just trying to figure out your current configuration. Appears most is of newer design but not all.
