    About the only difference between 89 and 94 models is the driveshaft / crankshaft spline.----Bigger on the 94 model.

    Johnson / Evinrude used stainless for that plate for many years.

    Shear pin OK ???-----Remove lower unit ( 4 screws )and inspect splines at top of driveshaft.-----Some folks just are not aware of greasing the splines .-----Or replacing the o-ring to keep water out.----Many suffered from rusted out crankshaft splines.

    There are a number of wrecking yards that might have something.-------Try kings propeller repair-----In Ontario.------They have a lot of scrap / scrapped boats.------I know they just ground up a number of boats.-----Not much call for stuff like that so it gets thrown out !

    Agreed-----These are for people that buy the latest gadgets / new stuff.------If something goes wrong they pay or move on to next big thing.

    Anybody look up prices of parts ?-----Looks like the transmission is listed at near $27,000.------Definitely a game for " well to do " I think.

    Water pump impeller replaced ?----Oil injection in service?-----Spark on all cylinders?-----Post compression numbers here.

    Open low speed mixture needles 1/8th turn and test.----Repeat as needed.

    Install a seal kit.-----Parts like oil seals may be the same as some of the big Yamaha outboards.----Find ----crowley marine------Might be able to help you no problem.
