    Roller bunk Adjustment advise ...

Yes away from the keel. The rollers on the strikes is not going to damage anything. The way the hull is made, it appears it might be on one. Also note that when the hull gets ready to load, sometimes the bow keel area goes lower until the hull flatens out on the rollers. Just something to...

    Mag 350 5.7 Still overheating

Things give you a constant alarm, over heat, low oil pressure and drive lube low, over speed and sea water pressure low. Over speed happens when the motor thinks its in neutral and rpms exceed 2500. The in-gear switch is on the shift plate The most common problem is the sea water pressure...

    Mag 350 5.7 Still overheating

Thanks for the SN If the alarm goes off but its not overheating, then its the sensor. The sensor is on the thermostat housing, and the other side is the temp sender for the helm gauge. It doesn't know how hot the mans or risers are

2000 MERCRUISER TBI 5.7 injectors quit at idle

With the Diacom showing 700 hours, someone has replaced the motor, the ECM or both. Could even be the hour meter was replaced or left unplugged for a long time. In any case someone has been messing with the motor. Would be worth a compression test to see how it turns out. TB held WOT when...

Idle Issue - Carb or Fuel Problem??

As GA said, run it off a gas can. I'm thinking the carb needs a rebuild and would also check fuel pressure. Pressure should be 3-7 psi

2000 MERCRUISER TBI 5.7 injectors quit at idle

Once the voltage comes up on the ALT it should stay up. Could be your bat has a bad cell Your pic is hard to read because of the glare Rich mix is controlled by the MAP and Temp. The injectors may need to be tested, might be leaking fuel. Many have bought injectors from ebay and regretted...

Ground the edge off ad used pavers at a slant so it wouldn't pose a trip hazard. Just ticks me off to get sloppy work.

2000 MERCRUISER TBI 5.7 injectors quit at idle

The 5V output is critical to the ECM and sensors. The 5V comes from the ECM and with it being high, either your meter needs checked or the ECM needs repair. Check with another meter to verify Your ALT needs to be repaired if the meter is accurate

    Roller bunk Adjustment advise ...

Think outward just a tad so long as the keel has clearance. Might only take 1/2 inch. The starboard side appears next to nothing is touching. Is this the case and if so what is holding the boat?

Trailer ball size for 2019 1950

Should be a 2 inch, they have about done away with 1 7/8 and only real heavy boats use 2 5/16

2000 MERCRUISER TBI 5.7 injectors quit at idle

Looks like a voltage supply issue Your battery voltage should be closer to 14V. Seeing 11.9V is close to a dead battery. Check output of the alternator once it revs to 1500 one time. Don't keep it there, just needs a quick bump Check 5V reading at at the gray wire of the MAP, or CPS The...

Also thought about mixing bag cement and dig out below a bit and patch afterwards, but think it would probably break out later

    Concrete finish ideas

That is a better idea then a concrete saw. Have 2 grinders, just need to get a diamond blade, Think a trickle of water would be good?

    Concrete finish ideas

Contractor poured pouches in front and rear, and it shows the forms didn't go all the way down to the ground. Wondered why he dumped dirt against his forms before pouring but now I know. Maybe a concrete saw and cut the edges sticking out. If I try to break them off, most likely more of the...

4.3 GL Engine Mount Bolt replacement

Yes, you can use a similar bolt if it comes apart. I would not use stainless, its not strong enough. You want a grade 8 fine thread bolt. You want fine thread so the adjustments are more accurate. I would suggest using some penetrating oil, something like PB Blaster and just get the one you...

Can I Add a Trim Position Guage?

No I'm saying the Brn/Wht wire is part of the boat and engine harnesses. There should be an unused Brn/Wht wire at the helm and on the motor

Can I Add a Trim Position Guage?

Yes, there is a Brown/White wire on pin 10 This wire goes to the sender and ground the other lead from the sender. At the helm attach wire to the gauge and connect purple wire to + side on the gauge
