2011 New 3.0 MFI with no spark mystery

Being a 3.0 it would have the Delco EST distributor and how it works is pretty simple. Having swapped the distributor with the other motor and no spark I'm scratching my head like you are. The EST is all self contained and the port works. Move the port dizzy, coil and dizzy harness and it...

1996 Boston Whaler Rage 15 motor swap

Unable to say for sure, but just like switching from a stern drive OMC to Merc, it's doable, just need to made do a little fiber glass work. That's only IF needed and glass work isn't that hard

    Rub Rail Restoration??

Unable to say for sure with your boat, but in all cases I've seen, there are a small amount of rivets under the rail. The cap is lapped over the bottom so it shouldn't pop off it there were none

2011 New 3.0 MFI with no spark mystery

Do you have 12V when key is ON at the coil? Edit: your saying mFi but do you mean mPi? Also this is a EC or CAT motor right?

Drilling gunwales for flush mount rod holders?

Drilling 3 to 4 holes on each side will take some structure out, just unable to say what effect. Might depend on how thick the top is. A boat takes a lot of vibration and if it stays sound, there could be some cracks form around the new holes

RPM's surging, think I fixed the problem

The caps are known to cause trouble even when they look new. I think your plugs would have been fine after a bit of running on the new cap. In your other thread you said tank had only about 1/8 and you added fresh gas to it. Note: checking gap is good, but don't try to regap unless no other...

    Thunderbolt IV spark loss

Sure sounds like you have accomplished the testing procedure correct. If there are no bad connections, and 12V stays on the Red/White wire and coil + terminal when the spark doesn't happen, then I would lean toward the Ignition Module. The module is electronic and normally wouldn't work and...

Hydrolock, swim platform, riser height and static water line question

Easiest way to get a Mod's attention is select the report function and tell them, they all get it. I did do that for you, it should be gone shortly

Suggest removing the pic of the box in post 61 because it has your address on it. It also show the address of the seller and if you look it up, its just a house in a residential area. Guess he might buy out parts and sell later or something like that My guess is the elbows where never...

Replace or Repair, where to start?

Using AF then your motor is closed cool? I'm not understanding that you wouldn't just remove the radiator cap I'm thinking its not closed cool and the impeller went bad so the pump wasn't pumping any water. If this is the case then pouring AF down the thermostat just ran back out Being a...

Have not heard of Greesemonkey, might look into that one I find a PW manager is so much easier and also keeps me from reusing the same parts of a PW in different places. While FF keeps my list synced up on all computers I use, I do wonder how secure it is, they say it is

    Blowing ignition fuse

It started when the fuel gauge was replaced. All I can do is guess, but my thought is one of the purple wires got to close to a ground, or there was a misswire when gauge was installed. Mentioned, you disconnected all the gauges, so in doing something was moved. The problem might show its...

    Wheelchair Accessible Resto-mod

Not more then 3 and 2 would be better. At 3 its 3 psi per square inch, so 20 sq ft of surface = 2880 sq in (20x144) x 3 psi = 8640 and 2 psi = 5760
