    In your case I would let the windless feed all the rode in. Take the bitter end of the rode and either attach something inside the anchor locker, or attach something to the end which will keep it from exiting

    Don't re-gap iridium plugs, this can break/crack the iridium coating 20 year champion plugs looked real nice when replaced, and new plugs didn't change any performance I could determine

    Don't know which ALT you have but many use press on pulleys, but some have a nut which hold. If there pressed on, most can be repositioned In any case I did understand about wanting to move the crank pulley

    With the Bats testing good, then there is an alternator problem. Once motor goes up to 1200 rpm the first time you should see around 14.5 volts. The most I saw was 13 something Put a voltmeter on the battery's and if your seeing the same voltage then its in the charging circuit

    O don't see an issue with adding a shim so long as the bolts go in far enough to hold. Can the pulley on the ALT be moved in/out to align?

    Don't know how yours is set up but mine does use a small box and 3 inch hoes come off of it. It has one of the hoses (vinyl bilge type) comes in near the top of the aft cabin to a vent
