    Compression and leak down test will advise if the valves are not seating If the intake is leaking on the underside spraying it will not cause it to show up. Did you ever check the fuel pressure?

    The plug uses 3 wires, Red=12V, Blue=UP and Green=Down. The plug end which goes toward the pump, use a jumper wire and jump Red to Blue Easy way to remember is Blue is the sky (up) and Green is the ground (down)

    Unable to say anything about the gasket but everyone is going to iridium plugs because they say they last longer. Merc uses AC 41-993 (was 41-932) I would use AC MR43LTS and not bother with high priced plugs but that's just me What's your serial number?

    The red wires your holding is battery power to both relays. The Blue and Green wires are what comes from the trim motor. Use a voltmeter to trace the connections. I could be your problem is the other relay. One relay switches and the other stays in place for the return leg
