    BTW, the folks at UFP will answer any questions you have on their A-60 actuator as stated above, the clunking is usually the shock going out. easy replacement

    many bilge pumps are mounted to a quick-turn base that you can turn and release the pump from the base. I have done this on more than one occasion and replaced the pump with the same. sometimes you have to pull the motor to get to the pump (or starter, or exhaust manifolds, etc)

    first, welcome aboard. need more context, however going to make some assumptions and try to guess since I cant read minds. you have a small open utility or fishing boat with flotation foam in the seats and somehow that was damaged..... you can either use rigid foam insulation and cut pieces...

    Could be different alloys, who knows. However when you clean aluminum, it will corrode quickly. Depending on ph of water, it may stain. Hence the suggestion to apply a sealer

    Just an FYI. At 9 volts, the ignition will not work and there is no way to spin the motor fast enough. Most batteries are 100% depleted at 12.0 - 12.2 volts, and fully charged at 12.7-13 volts (depending on battery architecture). Below 12 volts, you run the risk of toasting the battery

    you dont need the boat out of the water, however it will make it easier. you can do it in the water if you want. this is a VP AQ drive, not a Mercruiser. with your AQ231, you should have a 280 drive. the shift cable goes from the helm binnacle controls into a hose clipped high on the inside...

    there are DC to DC converters. these can provide X amps at 24 volts from 2.25X amps at 12 volts. these basically turn 12 volts to AC, then AC back to DC all within its self. however these would require you to ride around in your boat for a really long time to charge the batteries. lets say...
