    if you went from a 1.62:1 drive behind your 250 cubic inch motor to a 2:1 drive, and you were turning 4500 RPM before, you would be turning about 5200 RPM which is grenade the engine territory either you messed up the throttle or you have a different drive ratio than you thought

    if your coolant is green, you add green to it if you coolant is orange, you add orange to it if you cant figure out the color, you change it and follow the manual if you just need to top it off a bit, simply add a few ounces of water.

    first, welcome aboard if your boat is a 1982, then there should be a 12 digit HIN on the back of the transom. what does your paperwork say the HIN is. there are no such things as boat manuals.

    you want to unbolt a 40hp motor and bolt on an older 115hp motor. first, what is the transom on your pontoon rated for? do not exceed this rating. even if the 30 year old pontoon is rated at 115, how is the structure? if you dont know your rating, you can look here...
