second, you wont be backing into a lift. motor hits it
third, you may need a different lift if you cant pull yours apart to get the 15' spread.
depends on where you live and how corroded it is. teh gear box is between $200 and $500 used. the lower unit is between $500 and $1500 used. props are about $150 to $300 used.

thats a safety torx or a security torx. use a small screw driver to bust the pin out if you want to remove it. however you can just hose out the sensor in place
if dowco no longer makes the canvas, your only choice is a local upholstery guy.
also, for what you want to do, I would just get a flex hose kit to go back to the tee fitting at your axle.
that is considered 3/16" glass.
