    Electric choke terminals

Just replaced my old carb with a reman from Flyingfish. Y41 4bbl Holley Model 4160 w/Electric Choke. Huge difference in how it starts and idles. Can't wait to get it out on the water. I do have a question though. On the old carb the electric choke had + and - at the terminals. New one...

    Mounting help

Need some help upgrading the audio in my boat, specifically installing a new system. What exists today is the old style in dash cassette player that basically mounts using the posts for volume and tuning. On new units those posts are non existant. How do you mount newer units?

    XM ready

Looking to upgrade the outdated sound system on my rig. I want to be able to get XM without a whole slew of additional equipment. I see head units advertised as 'XM' ready only to find out you need to buy $100 of additional equipment. Is there such a beast as an XM ready unit?

    Winch handles

Are they pretty much standardized or are they specific to the winch? The hand hold part of my winch handle has broken and I want to replace it.

    Is fogging really necessary?

I'm finding my rig runs even more rough at idle than it did last season. Only thing that has changed as far as I can tell is the carb has now been saturated with fogging oil. Next week this carb comes off and a reman goes on. But I'm not so certain that this fall I want someone loading this...

    Unplug before you dunk?

I haven't been worrying about that lately. Not having any troubles with it either.

    Powerturns?

Happened to see this on the tube. I wasn't aware that it was a problem.

    Bacon tree

There are two Mexicans who have been lost in the desert for weeks, and they're at death's door (which is just outside Guadalajara). As they stumble on, hoping for salvation in the form of an oasis or something similar, they suddenly spy, through the heat haze, a tree, off in the distance. As...

    2 batteries...switch or isolator?

I'm considering a dual battery setup for my rig. I'm concerned about mooring my boat at a dock with no electric and having enough juice for the bilge pump to run for an extended time if needed. I've looked at both and I like the isolator idea but I can't find info on what happens, if anything...

    Why bottom paint?

I see many threads here about re-doing bottom paint. I don't think I've ever seen a bottom paint job that I thought looked good. What is the purpose?

    Finally!

Boat's in the driveway. All the levels are good. Burned off the fog on muffs. Loaded up with gear but I couldn't find the darned nut and spacer for the prop  2 trips and $20 later I have a prop. I know it's in the garage and as soon as I stop looking it'll turn up. Off to Salt Fork...

    Reman carb on the way

My 4 bbl Holley has seen better days. I invested in a reman from Flying Fish. My question is how much tinkering do you think it will need once installed? Will it fire right up or will I have to get pissed at it?

    TR2 drive?

Keep seeing an ad in the local paper for a 30 footer with a TR2 drive. Never heard anyone talking on here about their TR2.

    Those dangerous boat ramps!

The boyfriend told deputies after the party, they went to a secluded boat ramp to have sex. But while they were fooling around, the car slipped into the water. "Once he realized they were floating down the river, he started rolling down the window, he told his companion they needed to get out,"...

    Cover caved in!

Went to take a look at her today and my cover has caved in partially. Only hope now is to get the snow off and try to repair. Winter's not over yet.

    She looks cold and lonely

After a pretty good winter storm I decided yesterday to head over to the storage area and check on her. Is it Spring yet?

    November 6th

Just talked to my mechanic and can't get the rig in for winterization and a couple of other issues until 11/6. I'm considering running some anti-freeze into the motor. Probably won't get that cold before but I don't want to be the milkshake guy next spring. Whadday think?

Soft Scrub...I'm a big fan now

Impressed with the job this cleaner did on my rig. Of course, it takes the wax off too but it needs a new coat anyways.
