    Clicking then gears engage.

    My boat ran fine. I hit something and my Alpha 1 out drive broke. I replaced the entire outdrive with a used one. It seams to be working fine, but when I shift it into gear, it clicks until I give it a little more throttle then the gears engage. How do I fix this or is this outdrive bad?

    Broke the Drive Shaft Alpha 1 Gen 1

    My engine revs in forward, but stalls in reverse? I Broke the Drive Shaft in an Alpha 1 Gen 1outdrive. I know opened the out drive and noticed that It was a clean brake just bellow the splines. I can manualy turn all the parts by hand. Why did it stall in reverse? (before I took it apart)
