    Ok I got it fixed. Used a small triangle file to fix threads followed by a die in the correct size. Didn't take much work at all to fix I have a habit of blowing things out of proportion. Thanks for all the tips I appreciate it as always

    1987 johnson 55 hp commercial tiller. So in all my messing around trying to get the spun flywheel (broken keyway) off I managed to booger up the threads on the crank.     Picked up a clean 40hp cowling. Seller didn't know the model number of the motor it came off of. Looks like a 3 cylinder hood but I didn't know they made 3 cylinder 40hp. Anyone know what year this might be off of and if it fits other hp like 50 or 60 or 70? Looking to resell it to a good home...
