    Make sure the carb is clean. Is the cam roller in good shape?

    Take those 4 bolts off and pry that plate off carefully. I believe that only holds the seal. Once that is off you can see the splines so a little penetrating oil will go a long way. If I am wrong somebody will be along shortly to point that out.

    Have you done a link and sync? Make sure all the carb butterflies are closed. You do not care about idle timing at all.

    Never seen one of those go bad. Have you checked the kill switches? If it is a tiller pay attention to the one in the handle. Have you done a DVA test? Any tests beside continuity?

    if you bought a repair kit for the complete carb it will have gaskets for different models. Did you use the correct gaskets? What happens if you pump the primer ball? If it runs on the primer the problem is in the carb. The primer bypasses the carb altogether. The fuel pump gets its pulse...
