    if you hand pump to keep the carb full the fuel pump needs a close look at or replacement... did you at least unscrew the pump cover and check if the screen #15 is clean ??

    looks like a simple full wave 3 wire rectifier tons of them on amazon if your want to rig or try one up for a few dollars. 2 yellows get the AC .. the red +goes to the selenoid...incoming battery wire the negative -_ pin goes to ground just bolt it up. here is one...

    there is realy nothing special aout about sealing the 9.5 GC and lots of utubes available to show you here are a few the tricky part is the shift shaft seal but utubes explain all that just be precise with the spaghetti seal butting properly

    gents, I understand the fear of destroying an engine with the technique of spraying water :-( but....engines do survive much more than just a small misty spray when they go for a dip overboard. In fact the technique for saving a swimmer is to drain the water and get the engine running...

    that key way notch on the impeller seems so wide and deep ...it must be just me I guess . in despair if nothing else works and you do have several impellers...cut a nocth (part way of course) opposite the existing notch. Cut the slot the size of the drive key diameter no wider ...
