    have a buddy keep your key on START and wiggle, prod all the wiring you can reach..especially in flexing areas also check neutral switch and safety switch if you get a reaction you have a broken wire....time to whip out a test lamps or volt ohm meter surgery and a soldering...

    when the starter does not turn do you hear the selenoid clicks ??? has suggested repolish al connections....starter may have a bad spot if the selenoid clicks when the key is ON.... just tap the starter with a rubber mallet see what happens ....

    any good brand tcw3 will do fine I believe xd50 is semi synthetic and has some carbon inhibitors check for good sparks... 3/8 inch if not redo electricals change the impeller clean the carb and run some engine cleaner like Merc Power tune...
