    you may just need new heads and exhaust. my guess the exhaust is either leaking or the back of the boat is sitting low and needs taller risers under the elbows

    dont forget the vanity cover with flames..... the 357 has the vanity cover with flames....:p as AD mentioned, nothing special about the motor. may want to check the exhaust manifolds, they may have leaked and simply rusted your valves

    you pull the ps cooler and you pressure test it. it should hold 50 psi forever on the oil side

    that is about all that the 3.0 has. best speed I have ever hit with a 3.0 was in a 16.5' boat and we hit 42mph.

    with any boat, its value is based on condition, condition, condition that boat is celebrating its 58th year, not bad for a boat designed to last 15 and be replaced. that fact alone could mean that the boat is a garage-kept gem or something pulled from the weeds and cleaned up for a quick flip...
