    BTW, with minimal work, you can get 160hp out of a 3.0..... then again, with a fair amount of work you can get 200hp out of the 3.7.

    the 2.5 was anywhere between 90hp on the low end and 120hp on the high end the 3.0 is between 115hp on the low end and 160hp with EFI carbureted, most were 140hp.

    first, I would simply visit a canvas shop and have your convertible top re-done. It will not only be cheaper and faster........ adding a bunch of weight up-high on your old tri-hull not only takes away from its capactiy, however changes the center of gravity alot.

    easiest drive in the world to align. following the manual. there are 3 places to measure between the PDS housing and the transom sheild. at 3-oclock, 9-oclock and 12-oclock positions, measure with feeler gauges. as long as the dimensions are within a 0.060" range (1.5mm) you are good

    Back to the carb...... after a bath of engine cleaner, then a hot water/simple green/dawn dish soap bath, followed by a vinegar and water bath...... the parts are ready for paint. prior to masking after masking and now in the oven to bake for an hour

    Why I hate EFI and hyper-complex fuel systems the carbon canister decided to rupture and plug the fuel well up. with a full tank, I resorted to using a primer bulb to siphon/pump a whole tank of fuel those are carbon pellets
