    you hit something, they break. you step on the broken parts, it cuts your foot. I tried one years ago as the cottage we rented had lots of boulders just off the dock, went back to aluminum after that. however maybe they gotten better in the last decade

    I would apply a layer or two of shark hide. its a metal protectant made for protecting pontoons in salt water.

    Here are the parts laid out here is the tool I made to drive in the 5/16" J-tubes note, I sheared off the formed flange......phuck the new Holley J-tubes are thinner than the J-tubes of old. ordering another set of J-tubes..... here is the carb partially assembled.
