    Nobody fishing?

We trolled from Claville Bay (Lake Mead) where we launched from and stopped in Fire Bowl Cove for breakfast where we fished anchovies from the shore, the pic above. A few small bites, but nothing big enough to catch. Then went out in the middle of the cove and did some bait fishing with...

    Picked up a 1990 Force 50HP yesterday.

Bowl had a later ov varnish in it. Needle was stuck which released on contact with the spray. There were a few spots that didn't clan off when sprayed that the soak cleaned just fine. The float needed adjustment. Will install it this afternoon.

    Picked up a 1990 Force 50HP yesterday.

The parts I ordered came in earlier this week. Got around to taking the carb off. Took a measurement for where the choke rod was set. When I took it apart, the outside bowl gasket was missing and the float was on upside down. Float pin was tapped in all the way so had to tap it out with a...

    New Stuff on Vehicles likes/dislikes

Sounds like a 6 speed auto if you have paddles. Do you have a clutch pedal? The way skip shift works, I You're rolling into a light and downshift to first with the clutch in, if the light changes and you want to put it into second because you are rolling faster than first warrants, it locks...

    Picked up a 1990 Force 50HP yesterday.

To run with muffs, it sounded like I needed those special muffs that @jerryjerry05 posted above for and old force outboard. The barrel will work until I find those ones. If a regular set works, I can pick them up at sportsman's or a local boat shop, before the parts arrive, and not deal with...

    New Stuff on Vehicles likes/dislikes

One of the first things I did to the wife's Challenger after we got it was add a skip shift eliminator. Took more time to jack the car up than to install the squib.

    Trolling setup for my canoe

Thought I would share the battery setup I've put together for trolling with my canoe. 16' Pelican with a 30LB minn kota endura. When I first bought it, I had an 100A deep cycle AGM. About 75lbs. Worked fine. Concerned me that it wasn't breaker or fuse protected and was spark every time I...

    Picked up a 1990 Force 50HP yesterday.

Had a friend back in the early 90s that had a 75 Datsun B210. He loved that car. It always ran and seemed to be immune from the winter salt.

    Picked up a 1990 Force 50HP yesterday.

Sometimes they still run, but buyer still beware... Back in 86 my my first car had sat for 7 years next to a barn down the street. Dad and I had been looking for a car for a couple months for me to start in. We had looked for few months, and he asked the owner about it. Owner said it ran...

    Building a fishing boat.

Thank You. I really appreciate the suggestions. Very enlightening... https://forums.iboats.com/threads/old-timers-formula.660017/ Edited. Questions answered. A couple questions. Is that spar varnish, or spar urethane? Or does it matter? For the deck is heavier 3/4 inch ACX overkill? If we...
