    Oil in the cylinder would cause a liquid lock, aqnd you would not be able to crank. I would verify good spark and clean the carb properly.

    So either the pump is shorted, or you can't deliver enough power. That's either bad wiring (corrosion) or a bad ECU.

    Yes, if the motor is laid down on the wrong side.

    You need to properly clean the carb. Just spraying acetone type generic cleaner is not adequate.

    You really should start a new thread. But yes, over full oil can be an issue. And if you end up with the tiller up, yes, you can get a liquid locked cylinder.

    Over full oil will foam and cause extreme crankcase pressures.

    Did this just happen, or have there been issues for a while? You replaced the alternator? Never saw one fail. What is the voltage out of the alternator going into the CD? Did you test the CD? What method did you use to clean the carburetor? Do you now have spark?

    It died of extreme crankcase pressures and foamed up oil.

    What is your WOT RPM? Is the oil even a drop over full? Have you checked for a spun prop? Check all that first.

    The ABS solenoid is an expanding wax capsule with a heater in it. If you apply 12v to it, you should see the needle slowly lengthen. As long as it's seated, all should be good. The carb must be impeccably clean. Also verify oil level below the full mark.

    Do you have an MFS30A or B? Year is irrelevant. The shift rod may be disengaged from the shift lever shaft.

    You did not mention exact model. Probably MFS15B2. That does have ABS cold start enrichment. Very reliable, and easy to test. If too rich, the plugs would be wet. Are they?

    If there was crud in the fuel, you could have an issue with an injector, but that's rare. If all plugs looked good, the one injector could be an issue. Pressure sounds good.

    Verify whether you have spark on all 3. Also verify injector pressure. Pull a suspected misfiring plug and inspect it. If bone dry, no fuel.

    Of course it's an old obsolete motor, but the Factory service manual should help you out. Not unusual to read nearly infinite ohms on the secondary of the coil.
