    that filter is on the return fuel supply FROM the injectors.... if your injectors are not clogged :eek: then the return hose must be crumbling !! test it for mushy feeling !! Mecanic should have known because if this a replacement filter (???) and it ended up clogged so fast then...

    chinese pumps??? .....I had issues with some rebuiling is tricky to say the least how did you mount the pump ??? the square pumps are pulsed from the rear with a gasket pictures ??? if you have a pulse line you can try a sqware mikuni pump also

    unfortunately the GC should have been drained and likely cracked. draining and refilling is a seasonnal obligation. & with the sharp freeze temps going further South every year now I'll bet you a lot of GC will be cracked by next Spring !

    always time to learn special tools may be required .. some utubes may help. get a good shop manual put in the top oil bolt/screw & try to pressurize the GC via the bottom with that much leakage you MAY have a busted gearcase and you will hear air rushing out if it leaks that...

    keep us posted on what you find :) just be minful that a bad relay can suddenly be OK if the contacts release on their own when you pull/sake it ... but the problem will return !! :eek: at the wrong time of course (murphy's law) all the relays do is reverve the polarity sent to the motor...

    see typical 2 wire cct. Bat+12 and ground are provided to two relays the up/down switch (switches) tells the relays to send power to the tilt motor by applying the power one way for UP and reverses it for DOWN . if the motor runs all th time a switch or relay is likeley defective...

    motor sound s fine if it keeps humming away to bring the engine down the circuitry works with relays under switch control (up or down) and is somewhat simple you may have a defective...mechanically stuck "down switch" telling the relay to activate the down function or... DOWN relay...

    black is ground I normally install it on the top rear bolt...the long one that ties into the ring under the mag plate. to enure a solid ground scrape any paint near the bolt head and I install a star washer

    depending on your skill level fixing these I have purchased several 9.5hp low tops ( mid 60s) all below $100 CDN ...all have worked out great after a basic refurbish on the coils points carb gear oil etc... never had to operate on one. for fishing the 9.5hp is a compact engine...

    your coils measure ok and should fire... condensers likely not to good but more important is dressing the contact area of the points and wiring the coils to the correct points :-) measure secondaty (HV) windings from plug boot to engine frame ..should be 4-7 Kohms could also be bad...

    did you investigate all the possibilities in the SEARCH utility....see link one test is to pull a a spark plug or two insert a strip of paper in the cyl and start (try to) and see if the strip was wetted with a fuel spray from the injector (s) . If dry...work backwards for possibilities...
