    Water in exhaust manifolds

Intake manifold or the intake manifold gasket would be my next guess. The stem cleaning is evidence of water entering during the intake stroke. GM engine blocks have the front portion of the intake manifold act as the cooling water cross-over.

Water in floatation foam under the deck?

A few things to look for . . . cracking or discoloring of the stringers and/or bulkheads Infrared camera After a cool temperature night, see if the boat sweats in certain areas of the hull as the temperature warms in the morning. Areas of the hull that remain cool may be signs of retained...

    Getting New Knees . . .

I talked to my brother, since he had his knees done. He said I would need a lot of ice . . . I told him that my refrigerator keeps the beer 🍺plenty cold. It turns out he was talking about the Post-Op swelling. :ROFLMAO:

    Getting New Knees . . .

I'll be happy just not to have a grease zerk sticking out of my knee :ROFLMAO: Dr. said it would be a "Smart Knee" . . . probably better than a dumb one.

    Getting New Knees . . .

My teeth have been a problem for the past 10-15 years . . . I have about 9 implants and set to get a couple more soon. I'm starting to see that being old is spending 1/2 your time seeing various doctors.

    Getting New Knees . . .

Yes, my brothers had them done in the past 5-10 years . . . They told me it was a game-changer. :D I do know of one instance (extended family) that chose to go to the gym and work out shortly after the surgery . . . He had to have the knee re-done and is now unnecessarily impaired. :cautious:

    Looking for manual numbers

IIRC - I got my shop manual straight from Mercury, so as to get the latest and greatest. Getting the right manual (and the latest version) does seem difficult though.

    Getting New Knees . . .

I went to the Orthopedic Dr. yesterday . . . (Same Dr. that did my mother's knees 20+ years ago) . . . And the Dr. said . . . "your knees are bone-on-bone" . . . I was thinking that would be the case. I'm getting the left one done in December and the right one done in March. :giggle:

[SPLASHED] I/O (Sterndrive) Conversion to Outboards

Yes, supposedly, but I do see some plastic parts involved in the flow, per the cooling system diagram. I ordered 6 gallons of the PG antifreeze to run through the engines.

[SPLASHED] I/O (Sterndrive) Conversion to Outboards

I am pretty much all set for the season, so onto to winter ('Wintah' in Boston speak :ROFLMAO: ) I took out the LiFePO4 batteries and put the battery from the Whaler in their place. I used the camper canvas as my winter cover last year and it worked out OK, even with a heavy snow fall. So...

Maybe my turn for new boat time

@alldodge . . . You must be thrilled to have turned the page on the Chappy and have basically a new Formula. Hopefully the steering issue will get sorted out soon. Do you have a local dealer for warranty support?

Maybe my turn for new boat time

Congratulations, and welcome back to the Formula family of fine boats !!! :D I assume it is all the drive-by-wire stuff, similar to what I had with my Mercruisers. IIRC, the steering is the hydraulic/electric mix not cable-based, but you can certainly verify such. The question may be...
