Alright...new problem lol. I blew one hose inside the boat and removed the connection on outdrive. I managed to get very frustrated as I was doing this alone and I have hooked the 2 trim hoses up backwards...old alpha..mc-1 I believe. Is this going to cause any issues

There was also a few loose connections back there

Hand held...now that I have cleaned all connections behind dash and added a direct ground from battery to ground busbar behind dash it doesn't read like it's high on dash.meter...seems all good for now..find out when I head to water

I now have 14.6 at battery with boat running

If the ground for amp meter comes off tach gauge then I have found it..as there was one

As I was cleaning and replacing terminal ends behind dash I found the amp had no ground

I was hunting wires and following my manual. It shows white from harness to electric choke...my white wire went to coil negative. Not sure why

I haven't got a tester so I will take it and have it tested. I followed a vidio on how to test with voltmeter and it shows up good

What should it be with electronic

I've got pertronix ignition. The only gauge that is high is ammeter. It doesn't do it if I'm idling along when I get on the throttle it starts. Feels like it's running out of gas kinda. Chug chug chug and dead if that makes any sense

Also add this...only happens under load..not on muffs

Good day I have cleaned and replaced any suspicious wiring and went out yesterday. Boat ran great. Fished for few hours at anchor and when I went to move the boat started cutting out and stalled. Rest of the day same thing. The gauges are not doing what they were aside from ammeter..running...

Is there a preference on what to use

Now should I install a bus bar for all my grounds. Seems it would tidy up my wiring

Morning, ya shoot I was talking slave you are right. It's a ford 302, boat is a 1975. One wire is on the positive and one wire is from main harness on the 50 amp.
