    Anyone have some specs on this engine? ford 302 w/351w heads and 351w firing order what size harmonic balancer and flywheel did these use? 28oz or 50oz?? i was assuming it was the 28oz imbalance, like the 302's of the same years...the 351w had 50oz, but this still uses the 302 crank, i think...

    Re: MFG rebuild getting started pics ^^^ yeah, it didn't look like a 289 in the pictures, valve covers are the wrong shape and the intake is too wide. water neck and distributor in wrong spot too..... (my inner Ford Blue is starting to show) LOL....

    Re: 1973 SRV 220 OV Resto found another interesting tidbit on mercruiser ford 302's....besides using 351w heads (closed chambered, larger valves)...it appears that that also use a 351w cam and firing order... (sorry...can't access my photobucket account here at work) :(

    question.... why are most of the ford, chevy based I/O setups use a manual flywheel?? i know for the ford engines, it can't be for the engine weight balance...the early engines were externally balanced (28 oz) and they have manual and automatic flywheels that are 28 oz balanced... someone asked...

    converting trim sensor from top of gimbal ring to sides??

    has anyone done a conversion like this? my pre-alpha has the trim switch/sensor located at the top of the ring/housing (and of course it's bad/broken) and was thinking of changing it over to the style that has the switch/sensors on the sides of the gimbal ring at the pivot pins. has anyone done...

    WTF??? Transom Seal Gasket

    whats up with the transom seal gasket on pre-alpha gimble housings?? my gimble housing (1973 pre alpha) had a flat rubber gasket, w/holes for the mounting bolts to pass though, that goes between the gimble housing and the boat transom...but the new one i just picked up, GLM, is just round foam...
