Newbie - Guidance on Blowers and blower hose placement

The air volume that you need to get in and out depends on the total volume of the engine compartment. It has to completely change the air in the compartment within the four minute blower time before start up. My 26 foot also has one blower on each side. With your larger boat and the number of...

    Calling All Ontario Members

I don't have anything that spectacular but here goes. We were moored on the lower side of the Rosedale lock (35) and took this shot in the morning. We didn't have a lot of company at Coboconk. The top side...

    Calling All Ontario Members

Re: Calling All Ontario Members Ceasarea, in case you check the forum before you head out for the week end, I thought I'd give you an update. We've definitely got high water levels. I normally mow the grass for ten feet in front of the bench and then it's a one foot drop to the water. Luckily...

    Speedometer?

Re: Speedometer? If this is the "leaver arm style" that you were referring too. It still works on water pressure to a tube. There is a hole in the leading edge of the bottom of the arm that connects to the tube. The spring arm is just so that it won't get broken if it hits something.

The kids got a good work out on the lines. They got to pass through the Peterborough lift lock in both diretions. We spent one night at the...

    Perko Dual Battey Switch

Re: Perko Dual Battey Switch This picture shows the basic wiring. The rest of the boat(lights accessories etc.) would be connected to the common on the switch. You would normally run on both, so that both batteries charge. You can switch with the engine running as long as you don't go to the...

    Ball Gears

Re: Ball Gears Any tool supplier should have one. One from a discount house should work fine. If you already have a puller, you only need the item on the right. A standard two jaw will hook over the center of the bolts. They come in different sizes so you will have to measure what size you need.

The 1956 5.5hp Johnson had an original oil mix of 16 to 1. The engine employees bushings instead of needle and roller bearings. I'm wondering how lean can you run the oil mix with todays improved oils?

    Favorite Boating Destinations

Re: Favorite Boating Destinations We've got the Kawartha lakes and Trent Severn waterway in our back yard. The scenery is nice along the rivers, but there is nothing like being out on the lake at towards the end of a good day, the sun is low, the water is like glass, your up on plain and the...
