A 10psi increase from dry to wet shows just a minute compression loss usually do to ring to cylinder sealing.
A 60psi drop/difference when first tested is a major concern I would have. That would equate to a noticeable loss of power.
Could you of had 2 faulty compression testers? Possible if...
I would believe you are correct in your theory.
Providing full support under the transom where the weight is from the motor and outdrive is a must. I have no clue though how much weight would be hanging at 14" off the outer bunks, might be a concern??

It is common for just about "all" trailer to bounce and ride rough when empty.

Yes the center rollers are mounted to the center beam of the trailer.

ST Load Range E is rated at 2,830 pounds at 80 psi x 4 = 11,302 pounds.
LT Load Range E is rated at 3,195 pounds at 80 psi x 4 = 12,780 pounds.
But each make and model can vary regarding MAX weight and air pressure.
I was thinking that but if it doesn't have much weight on it how is it really going to guide the keel straight in?

The under seat mounts are pretty much a standardized bolt pattern.
If you can get an exact diameter and where the post mounts would make searching for replacement parts much easier.
