    Im more looking at what parts from the 85hp will fit and work on my 125hp for spare parts. Ie: ignition, lower unit, water pump/impeller and things of that nature. They look to me to be nearly the same aside from the block and pistons sizes.

    Just picked up this motor all i know is its early 70 125hp evinrude to replace my Chrysler force 70. Was it a good idea?are these any good? Seems to be in good condition. It came with a parts motor, a 85 hp version of the same 125. Whats interchangeable between the 2?

    Its a 1969 crestliner not sure model. The is no foam in the hull at this moment. The rot is mostly limited to the rear of the boat. It had been sitting for at least 4 years uncovered. And was sitting pretty level so i dont think it was draining properly

    Sorry guys... I gave up on her. I sold the motor last night and bought a evinrude 125. I took the easy way out, but i have hit the limit of my abilities with this one. Wish me luck on moving forward with the evinrude. Ill keep posing updates on the project for those who stay interested
