Yep i think that was it.wally<br /><br />So do ya'll think a turbo II is a good place to start? what do i need to look for as used props what splines and so on?is it true a mercury or yammy prop will fit with diffent thrush wasers??and i heard theres a kit you can buy to interchange props is this true?

It's still there. Item # 4583695251 but with only about 12 hours left. But remember its 14 1/4" diameter.<br /><br />Merc and Yamaha V6 props will interchange but you may have to change the thrust washer (thicker or thinner). They will also fit an OMC/BRP shaft if you shorten the splines. You may or may not have to mess with the thrust washer.<br /><br />The standard OMC / BRP 15 spline V6 style props will also fit the Cobra but not the Volvo or Volvo Cobra with 19 splines.

it was my first time on ebay ,signed up and i thought it was an 85 reserve i thought i was doing good.my mistake!a very good learning experince.

IM not sure probably 140-150 ,hard go much over that not knowing its going to work for me.what did it sell for??

Fished by myself last night boat ran good,cool air,ran 5600 at around 62mph,im trying to get in contact with a prop shop,think i might raise the motor a little more and not use so much trim.

I got me a tuboII 25p prop,going to care it to the prop shop next week and get the splines shortened ,then off to testing.

I have a jackplate on mine a evenrude 150 xp i start 1.5 in below or more, yours level of bottom boat mine is hyd moveable i have ran it half way uplike 4.5 up any thing over it hopps coming off plane i moved it lowest holes to give me better hole shot or full speed in rough water i can adj for conditions <br /><br />nice boat! yours

Okay here we go,i tested the turbo,it comes out of the hole like a bat out of hell,bymyself bow dropped right over almost instantly ran 5800 to 5900 rpms very good,but only could do 58mph had no bow lift less than half with the 4 blade,numbers dont make any sence too me?<br /><br />Dad got in a big man,still awsome holeshotbut ran about 5400-5500rpms just a little over 50mph.The boat is almost level when running the 3 blade turbo,the 4 blade i could the bow way up.what do i need to do??<br /><br />Gatored mine is a manual jackplate<so its test and run,the hydrolic ones are very nice,thanks for the comp,and all yea welcome to iboats.

Yes D i am.I was thinking about lowering the motor too see what it'll do.what do you think? i can blow a hell of a rooster with the 3 blade like it is,but thats not getting anywere,and the water presure has been fine through all those runs.

Yes, drop the motor slightly and that should let the prop trim the nose up more. Anytime you throw that big of a rooster tail youre losing efficiency.

Will do.does those numbers sound right to you?i wasnt expecting tht much drop in speed.<br /><br />Also i thought that a 4 blade was supposed give less steering torque.But the the 3 blade has a whole lot less.

I also had to pull a plastic peice off that was behind the 4 blade prop,it seems to have made the exhaust a little louder and gave the motor a different tone,what was that plastic for?

I was thinking ,i might need to pull the hydroil off and try it without it now seeing i got a good holeshot.

The plastic piece is a blowout ring I believe. You arent close to the blowout speed of that gearcase so its nothing to worry about.<br /><br />Yes, definately test with and without the fin.
