Interesting stuff going on in these parts. Lots of action.....

W/ a wood stove in the newly cleaned out garage, the Admiral will have to drag you out into the daylight even more often :D

Most excellent man-cave for boat building

Yes... lots of action for this fall/winter re-builds all around!

Just need a tv, fridge and food and I'm set!

Hey I remember those big tv's, had a 52 that ended up in the same fashion. Nice work on the garage, I wish I had that much room in mine but the ole lady has too many boxes of junk in there. Oh well, couldn't get the Chief in there if I had the room, door too short.

Thanks WW --- Was really tight to get a 16' in but with the shelving out, the rock crawling track and collapsible work benches... makes a big difference space wise!

Ok just trying to piece together everything. You have 3 tinnies now? 2 in process for this winter? So you've got a 16' Jupiter, 15' jet Star and a 14' Falcon. Sorry I can't keep up with this forum, family takes up a good deal of my time. Then there's fishing and Starcraft restorations. So hard to keep up.

How do you like the Falcon? That looks like a neat little boat.

BD - You got it! 1 done and 2 in process. Jet is going to go first then the Falcon. First though is a few lingering honey do list items that need to be done then it's time to get crackin'!

My wife has been smokin' busy with her business... so family duties have taken priority in the evenings and mornings... so it's been a bit here and there getting work done in prep for the winter builds and the aforementioned need to do list! But were getting there!

Falcon --- looks like a neat boat... got some interesing ideas that I plan on trying on this one. In the end, I have to stay true to myself and what I like to do --- which is adding some spice to these boats --- woodworking in particular! It's what I really enjoy most out of the build process. I plan on putting (hopefully!) an etec motor on this one... we shall see if funds can be diverted to that in the spring!

So bottom line is the Falcon is going to take a winters rest for a few months. The Jet is going to be the primary build for the next while!

Thanks for swingin' by!

I like adding a little wood also. Mahogany with spar varnish over it is an awesome contrast. Can't wait to see your projects come together.

Always great to have a couple winter projects. Glad the wifey's business is doing well too. Keep us posted on the E-tec when/if you get it. I've always wanted one. I hear they're a little pricey up front, but well worth it in the long run. Lots of guys swear by them down here in FL.

Oh man, I'd like to see a budget build that included an ETEC man. I know I have fari skilz as it relates to bottom scraper boat building but I'd be taking good notes on how to include an engine like that!:)

(Kidney black market sales pretty good in CA, eh?)

Thanks guys!! The boat'll be budget... but the etec is going to be more of a challenge... but me got's a plan to get most of it paid for... let's just say I have accumulated 3 free motors and another little treat that will be getting sold off in the spring... :D Finding a used etec is a whole other challenge as well!!! For this one... I may actually consider new... but don't hold me to that one... I've been know to change my mind once or twice!

Well, when those Kanuck geese return in the spring you could just strap one of those on the transom and have him paddle real hard, eh?

Nice, Xmas in October, Canada doesn't have the Great Pumpkin handing out gifts on Halloween?

Great to see the Merc going on the Falcon!

Re: 1960's Falcon Rebuild

Jim - You should post those pics in your Merc post. It might help get some responses there. Is the crack on the trailing edge of the L/U above the prop? Wonder what caused it.

That is one of the cleanest almost 50 year old motor ever. Definitely worthy of resurrection.

The most important Santa drop off s the heater. You guys get cold up there.
